Description

The aws/ami resource queries the EC2 API for Amazon Machine Images matching a set of filters.

source: Returns the AMI ID of the first image in the sorted result set.
condition: Tests that at least one AMI matches the filters.
target: Not supported - an AMI is not something Updatecli publishes. A target fails with Target not supported for the plugin AWS/AMI.

Important

Unlike most resources, which merely ignore an scm, this one aborts a condition that has one attached:

condition with SCM is not supported

Drop the scmid from the condition; the lookup is always against the EC2 API.

Description

The bazelmod resource reads and writes the version of one dependency in a MODULE.bazel file, the bazel_dep entries of Bzlmod:

source: Returns the version currently pinned for module.
condition: Checks that the file pins the expected version.
target: Updates that version. A file already holding it is left untouched.

It is the local half of the pair: bazelregistry finds the version available upstream, bazelmod writes it into your repository.

Description

The cargopackage resource queries a cargo registry (crates.io by default) for the versions of a crate.

Description

The csv resource reads and writes a single cell in a CSV file. Rows are addressed by index and columns by header name through a Dasel selector, so .[0].firstname is the firstname column of the first data row.

source: Reads one cell out of one file. Only a single file is accepted.
condition: Compares the cell to value, or to the source output when value is unset.
target: Writes the value into the cell. Files already holding it are reported as up to date and left untouched.

Description

The dockerdigest resource resolves a container image tag to the digest it currently points at, so deployments can pin an immutable reference instead of a mutable tag.

source: Returns the digest for image and tag, in the form jenkins/jenkins:lts-jdk11@sha256:….
condition: Checks that an image exists in the registry for the given digest - digest when set, otherwise the source output. A missing image reports the Docker image <ref> doesn’t exist. rather than erroring.
target: Not supported - a target fails with Target not supported for the plugin Docker Digest. Write the digest into a file with the "Yaml" or "File" resources.

Note	An `scm` is accepted but ignored, logging `scm is not supported, ignoring`. The lookup always goes to the registry.

Reading a value with a source

A source takes exactly one file. More than one entry in files fails with the attributes 'spec.files' can’t contain more than one element for sources, and an empty spec with no dockerfile specified.
